It is an exciting and highly rewarding experience for anyone wanting to make a difference to the lives of the babies and their parents through enhancing and enabling parenting skills and abilities.

We are an independent Ofsted registered specialist Parent and Child fostering agency. Our office is based in Walton on Thames Surrey.
Parent and Child Fostering Assessments is passionate about looking after the mother and her baby and we are proud of our high standard and the training we offer all our foster carers.
What you can expect as a Parent and Child Fostering Assessments foster carers
Training: We run a wide range of accredited professional courses and specialist workshops to give you the practical tools and strategies to help you foster.
Support: You will never be alone; we provide 24/7 support 365 days-a-year, which means we are there for you whenever you need us.
Can I foster?
Not everyone is suitable for the post, but if you meet the criteria below you will be considered:
Physically and emotionally fit (subject to medical assessment)
Single or a couple
Have one spare bedroom
No criminality
Over the age of 21
Parents
Parent or non-parent
Ideally you will:
Be professional and committed to making a difference to a parent and child’s lives
Always believe in a child’s potential and nurture them
Be encouraging and positive, possess integrity, consistency and resilience
Be prepared to learn new ways of helping the mother and her baby so that they can return to the community to lead a productive and fulfilling life

If you have any questions, please make sure you ask one of our social workers next time you see them, they would be more than happy to answer your questions.
Know your rights and how to make a complaint or a compliment
Parent and Child Fostering Assessments want to make sure you experience the highest standard of fostering experience.
We want to hear from you if you have anything to say, good or bad, about living with our foster carers during parenting assessments.
It is important that you know that:
You have the right to be safe, secure and protected
You have the right for adults to listen to you and treat you fairly and equally
You have the right for information, advice, healthcare and an education
You have the right to enjoy your religion or culture
You have the right to special help if you have a disability
If you feel your needs are not being met, then tell us.
Making a complaint
When you arrive at your foster family, you will be given a complaint form so that you know how to contact us if things are not right for you.
If you want to make a complaint, we will:
Take your complaint seriously
Deal with it promptly
Keep you informed with progress
Try to find out what went wrong and why
Tell you what we’ve done to make sure you are happy moving forward.
If you are worried about anything, please don’t be afraid to speak out. There are lots of people who care about you and want to help. Talk to your foster carer, your social worker, or any other adult you trust.
