We are an independent Ofsted registered specialist Parent and Child fostering agency. Our office is based in Walton on Thames Surrey.


Parent and Child Fostering Assessments is passionate about looking after the mother and her baby and we are proud of our high standard and the training we offer all our foster carers.

What you can expect as a Parent and Child Fostering Assessments foster carers


Training: We run a wide range of accredited professional courses and specialist workshops to give you the practical tools and strategies to help you foster.


Support: You will never be alone; we provide 24/7 support 365 days-a-year, which means we are there for you whenever you need us.

Can I foster?

Not everyone is suitable for the post, but if you meet the criteria below you will be considered:


Physically and emotionally fit (subject to medical assessment)


Single or a couple


Have one spare bedroom


No criminality


Over the age of 21


Parents


Parent or non-parent

Ideally you will:


Be professional and committed to making a difference to a parent and child’s lives


Always believe in a child’s potential and nurture them


Be encouraging and positive, possess integrity, consistency and resilience


Be prepared to learn new ways of helping the mother and her baby so that they can return to the community to lead a productive and fulfilling life

  • Who are we?

    Parent and Child Fostering Assessments is an independent fostering agency that support parent and their babies in placements. Our agency is regulated by Ofsted.

  • What does being in foster care mean in this context?

    A parent and child foster carer’s role is to provide the child and mother with a safe, caring and loving environment where the carer helps the mother improve and gain on the skills and knowledge of parent safely.

Making a complaint

When you arrive at your foster family, you will be given a complaint form so that you know how to contact us if things are not right for you.

If you want to make a complaint, we will:


Take your complaint seriously


Deal with it promptly


Keep you informed with progress


Try to find out what went wrong and why


Tell you what we’ve done to make sure you are happy moving forward.

If you are worried about anything, please don’t be afraid to speak out. There are lots of people who care about you and want to help. Talk to your foster carer, your social worker, or any other adult you trust.
